Fasting

Professional multidimensional approach
If you asked me what I liked most on this mentoring program is the support given. Questions are answered, issues related to healing are addressed and explained. Among other things, I got to know the key points about human relationship to food and how food connects with our psychological wellness. I could experience meditation and breathing exercises, plus, the presentation slides are brilliantly desiged. Larissa showed a high level of knowledge about the physiologic processes of the human body, and it is clear that she knows what she is talking about. I eat now with more awareness and less impulsiveness. My life has definetely changed for the better.
I learned how to change habits
We think we are prisoners of our habits and, because of that, we are afraid to change them or change our lives. With the Beyond Detox, I discovered that we can change our habits and change ourselves, our health and our lives for the better without much effort.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I fast?
Regularly, and it depends on how often and how much you eat. Your digestive system needs time to process the quantity and different types of food. The stomach has specific digestive enzymes for each food category: proteins, carbohydrates and fats. Therefore, each meal eaten previously must be eliminated before another one reaches the stomach.
If you eat three times a day and only defecate once a day, this is a sign that your intestines need more time. The frequency of defecation should be proportional to the frequency of ingestion. Otherwise, your system will be creating accumulations of faecal waste, cellular debris cannot be eliminated optimally, nutrient absorption rates are compromised, etc. That is why, often, taking supplements is a waste of money.! Digestive problems create stagnation that leads to fatigue and a host of other symptoms, such as increased toxicity in the body and latent acidosis. Fasting is the fastest and more efficient solution for the.
Will I be hungry while fasting?
You might feel a hunger sensation in the initial two days of fasting. However, there is a preparatory phase needed to reduce and avoid the hunger sensation. If applied correctly by you, you will probably not feel hungry. At the end of the fasting period, all newbies always agree with that.
Will I have energy during fasting
Yes! Between the second to the third day, the body switches its source of fuel and activates its fasting metabolism mode. Due to the improved fat burning in a fasted state, endurance performance (like hiking) is optimal and you also lose a few pounds on the scale. In addition, ketones peaks brain capacity and you gain mental clarity and readiness. Beyond that, people often report greater ability to concentrate, need for less sleep and lots of energy never experienced before.
How long should I fast?
Under the rules from my fasting academy, you can do 7 to 10 days, which is sufficient for general regeneration, detoxification and purification, and 'initiation' of your body-system. Everything is monitored and you can manage how long you want to keep going as the days go by, and you feel the physical and mental changes. People with higher body fat can fast longer than 10 days under medical supervision.
What if I am taking medications?
People using medication should always consult their doctor before fasting. The doctor is the only one who can reduce or temporarily suspend the dose.
How many kg can I lose in a week of fasting?
Usually it is a rule "those who have more also lose more". Your body knows it better. This may vary between 5-6 kg or 3-4 kg per week. Following a good fasting program avoids the yo-yo effect that happens when doing diets. Fasting intensifies the metabolism of fat and you do not have to be afraid of losing muscle mass if you do the recommended fasting exercises.

Constant Eating is Not Optimal
Your diet may be nutritious, with high-quality, rich foods, but if you have any physical symptoms such as:
  • burping
  • farting
  • having fewer than one bowel movement per day
  • not having a bowel movement every time you eat
  • menstrual cramps
  • heartburn
  • weight gain
  • fatigue
  • insomnia
  • difficulty sleeping
  • haemorrhoids
  • back pain
  • hair loss, or others…
…you probably need a digestive break, and the only way to do that is to fast.

"Fasting is an effective and safe method of detoxifying the body... a technique that wise men have used for centuries to heal the sick. Fast regularly and help the body heal itself and stay well. Give all your organs a healthy rest. Fasting can help reverse the ageing process, and if we use it correctly, we will live longer, happier lives. Just three days a month will do it. Each time you complete a fast, you will feel better. Your body will have a chance to heal and rebuild its immune system by regular fasting. You can fight off illness and the degenerative diseases so common in this chemically polluted environment we live in. When you feel a cold or any illness coming on or are just depressed - fast!"

‘What, fasting? Never!’

You won't lose your fear of fasting if you don't try, but you'll lose much more by not trying.
